The Rainbow trout are abundant and provide plenty of action, with many double hook up days, with a 30 fish day not uncommon. Fly fishing the lower Sacramento River, the waters near Redding, CA hold the most rainbow trout due to the cold water and salmon spawning.
We fish every day. This is a year -round fishery. We can accommodate any size group and welcome all levels of anglers.
The Lower Sacramento River is a big river, with its width from 75 ft in some sections and up to 300 ft in others. The most scenic portion of the lower Sacramento river is through the Anderson, California to Jelly Ferry Bridge stretch.
This is also where some the best fly fishing for trophy steelhead can be found. The steelhead fishing is most productive during the late Fall and Winter months, September through January.
